About

With its advantageous central location in Northern Ireland, Cavan View Farmhouse (circa 1820) has recently undergone a complete refurbishment. It is a charming, well-appointed, self-catering property set in delightful, mature and secluded gardens and with ample parking.

Cavan View Farmhouse makes an ideal base whether on short or long-term business trips or visiting family and friends. It is as much about a relaxing ‘getaway’ for local activity breaks as it is about easy access to all parts of Northern Ireland for the enthusiastic tourist.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Cavan View sleeps up to six guests in four well-appointed roomy bedrooms, two double and two twin bedded rooms. With low level windows, the rooms are light and bright and look out over the lovely, private gardens. A neutral look throughout combines perfectly with a touch of contemporary colour and a successful fusion of the old and the new.

A very advantageous feature of the Farmhouse is the dual-aspect downstairs en suite bedroom which is perfect for family use as well as for less mobile guests. The en suite has an ‘in-bath’ shower; the upstairs bathroom is newly fitted and sports a spacious corner shower. All bed linen and towels are supplied.

Kitchen and Dining Room

The kitchen/dining room is cheerful from morning to night with South and West facing windows. There is more than ample room to cook and serve, a large extendable dining table and two armchairs - for the casual approach to dining or just to keep good company. The kitchen is comprehensively equipped and provides a dishwasher, microwave, integrated fridge and freezer, electric oven and hob. The adjacent utility room has washing and ironing facilities and joins to the downstairs cloakroom. It’s only two miles to Tamnamore to fetch a good range of Takeaway or oven-ready meals.

Living Room, Conservatory and Study

The dining area has open plan access directly to the comfortable, cosy, chandeliered living room. Chill out in front of the TV on the reclining sofa or in the velvet covered armchairs. A range of DVDs is available in the adjoining study where a pine desk and executive swivel chair will help to keep business matters in order. (Internet/wifi is available throughout the property). Sliding, glass doors lead from the living room to the bright conservatory which has an all-round view of the garden. All rooms have oil fired central heating.

Gardens and Games Room

The gardens are well established and offer scope for a game of Hide and Seek in ‘The Wood’ beneath one hundred foot conifers. Alternatively stroll on the spacious lawn, bordered by rhododendrons and both horse chestnut and copper beech trees (almost a century old) and find the totally private, South-facing, ‘Secret Garden’ to relax in, away from the world …

Enjoy a game of table tennis, table football or snooker in our newly converted Games Room.

Out and About

For the tourist, we can recommend alternating days to relax locally and days to sight see farther afield. Cavan View Farmhouse is only an hour’s drive from most of Northern Ireland’s main attractions – Belfast’s Titanic Centre, Mourne Mountains, Giant’s Causeway or Fermanagh Lakes. Dublin and Donegal are less than two hours drive and Dublin is a great day out via train from nearby Portadown.
